JAN MARGOLIS
Jan Margolis is a leading authority in helping successful executives become even more successful by driving positive behavioral change for them and their teams. With more than 20 years at the helm of the Applied Research Corporation, Jan has witnessed first-hand how the ability to motivate and inspire as well as influence people to follow is a learned talent.
Her early career was in television broadcasting. For several years, she was the co-producer and dynamic on-air host of the Emmy Award winning PBS Series – Women: Choices and Challenges - a weekly prime time feature news show. In addition, Jan has held senior leadership positions in executive resources at the Greater Southeast Community Medical Center, Deutsche Bank (formerly Bankers Trust Company), National Training Laboratories (NTL) and most recently, as Senior Vice President, Executive Resources at Bristol Myers Squibb.
Quoted in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and other leading publication for her insights on leadership effectiveness, her work has been recognized by many professional organizations including the Human Resource Planning Society (HRPS), the Society for Human Resource Professionals (SHRM) and the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) where she served as National President and keynote speaker at national conventions.
In addition, she is actively involved in governance issues and sits on several boards as a director, including Trinitas Regional Medical Center, the Clausen Company, the Arts and Educational Council of N.J. She is a founding member of the National Association of Corporate Boards of Directors, N.J.
